After18 is a charity which supports unaccompanied young refugees in Leicester to rebuild their lives. We act as a consistent and trusted support base for young people to turn to whenever they need advice or support.
Currently our Afghan service users are contacting us to ask for help in the current crisis. We are assisting them in supporting their evacuated family members – mainly women, children and babies who are not part of any of the government schemes for Afghans.
They are arriving with nothing, so we are urgently appealing for donations to assist us with the costs of meeting their immediate and basic needs.
- £20 would pay for a caseworker appointment to help complete essential paperwork.
- £30 would pay for a maternity pack for a new mum.
- £50 would pay for a support group session for older children.
