Vacancy: Project Worker – Education

As part of our education programme, After18 runs a weekly drop-in for young people where they can receive wraparound support for their educational needs, including tutoring, homework help, access to qualifications, support to access educational opportunities and advice on their education pathway. We are recruiting a Project Worker to support the operation of the education drop-in.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised person to support the running of our weekly education drop-in for young refugees and asylum-seekers in Leicester city centre.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to manage lots of different tasks at once. You will understand how to create a safe and welcoming environment for young refugees and asylum seekers.

What will you be doing?

You will help to manage the team of volunteers, set-up and operate the drop-in, liaise with local education providers, provide support and guidance to young people and ensure policies and procedures are followed.
